Back on the Blogging Saddle Again
Back to our blog - with a whole new look!
Sorry for the long absence..we have had our hands full!

We officially became THREE CHUNGS on Thursday, April 5th at 4:59pm. Fisher Thomas Chung came into our life that day and we haven't been the same since!

4:00pm - Not Parents

A little anethesia, a skilled surgeon plus 25 minutes and......

Ta-Dah....A FAMILY

Actually 4 years and 25 minutes plus the prayers of MANY MANY MANY blessed friends and family. Thank you dear ones - we have been blessed beyond measure!

For this child I prayed, and the Lord has answered me my petition which I asked of Him.

ICEtin - Not Austin
While I was enjoying a trip to Maryland - where it was warm enough to go without a coat...it was SNOWING in Austin! So much so that it took me two extra days to get home. I knew I was taking a chance on going to Maryland in January...it usually snows there in Jan/Feb....but Who ever thought I would get snowed OUT of Texas?
Min made sure to capture these amazing scenes for me so I wouldn't miss out. Who knows when we'll ever see snow on our house again.
So much for global warming!

Our house with snow on it!

Our poor little pansies encased in ice.

Little "Snowphie" - 'Hello? I thought we were done with this cold stuff on the ground!'

Henry Honda covered in snow - he's used to this in Colorado, but TEXAS??? Not so much.

The Baby Belly

By popular demand...here is a picture of "the belly" - I'll add more soon.
Baby Shower

Sweet friends hosted a baby shower for me over the weekend. It was precious to have my new friends in Austin gathered together to celebrate the upcoming birth of my little boy. It was extra special because my mom was able to attend while she was visiting from Florida.

The food was yummy and my sweet friend Andrea made the Martha-esqe cake which was out of this world delish! Even better was the fellowship and time of praying for the baby and his arrival.

It is so good to be here and I'm so thankful for the blessing of our baby and great girlfriends!

Make Room For Baby

At long last we have made a decision on a nursery theme for our little man. This room is a little out of control since every single piece is on display (we won't be quite so ostentatious). Love this little set though - can't wait to see it in the baby's room! Oh and good to know it is approved by Nana.
We've finally put together a baby registry - how fun is that?!? Shopping for fun stuff for baby.
www.babiesrus.com and www.babydepot.com (also, but just online www.babysupermall.com ).
We just have 3 months left - I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by - can't wait to meet the little person who is using my insides for a kickball.

A Total Child of the 80's

While surfing some of my other favorite blogs today (metrodad, ricedadies, kimchimamas among others) I found this way fun link to an online Lite Brite!

http://www.sfpg.com/animation/liteBrite.html#

Being a child of the 80's (and proud of it) I have to admit I had a mild obsession with Lite Brite. I can even remember tearfully saving it from one of my mother's yard sales when we lived in New York (I think I was around 4 years old). I LOVED my light bright. That got me thinking about other things that I treasured as a child.

Shrinky Dinks - I especially liked the ones that ended up having a little felt texture to them.
Strawberry Shortcake - smelly dolls..what a hit
Smurfs - I loved the cartoon, the stuffed animals (I really treasured my smurfette doll)
Snorks - but not as much as smurfs..I think they were just kind of underwater smurfs
My Little Pony
Care Bears
Wonder Woman
Wonder Twins - actually all the Wonder Friends
Bionic Woman T.V. Show - I never had a Bionic Man or Bionic Woman barbie..but remember how you could look through their eye which had a little magnifying glass in it?
The Great Space Coaster - this was an early morning hit..not too many people I ask about this show remember it. "This is the news, with Gary Gnu" & Speedreader...so LOVED this show!
Hippity Hop
Sit-n-Spin - and getting dizzy looking at the wheel in the middle
Big Wheels
Stretch Armstrong - I always wanted to cut him open
Fashion Plates - you could put different plastic plates together and run a pencil or crayon over paper to make a clothing designs
I can't remember what they were called by they were like minature barbie dolls
Glo Worm
Poochie (that little dog with the pink ears)
Rainbow Brite
Teddy Ruxpin ( never got one of these either)
Star wars toys
Sea Wees - These were so fun in the bath tub - mermaid bodies with long odd color hair you could brush and little plastic babies with swimming caps on
Glamour Gals - these were the little mini barbies that were about 3" tall with long hair
Battle Star Gallatica - I loved the little robot dog
Who Spilled the Beans - this was a great game...and if you lost beans you could just open up a bag and use some from the kitchen
Buck Rogers
Colorforms - I had one for the muppets
Atari - I was queen of Frogger and PacMan
Slip and Slide - ouch! Grass Burn.
Last but by no means least - Underoos! I so loved my Wonder Woman Underoos and also my bat girl sets. They should definately bring these back out!

I actually can't believe I'm going to be a mom and these are all going to be ancient relics to my son.
